16 employees from the Netflix corporation joined Making Teams for an online Virtual Amazing Race.
The whole event took place over 2 hours.
All attendees joined the virtual event from across the United States.
The virtual event was conducted via Zoom.
Netflix is a streaming service that offers a wide variety of award-winning TV shows, movies, anime, documentaries, and more on thousands of internet-connected devices.
The event was intended as a fun way to bring the team together after a long period of working from home.
At the start of the event the group played a series of online warm up games to get everyone in the right mood for fun and games. The main warm up game was called ‘Follow the leader’. One person was selected as the ‘detective’ and asked to look away from the monitor, then another person is selected as the ‘leader’. The leader must lead the group through a series of slow movements and try to keep everyone synchronized. The ‘detective’ has to try and ascertain who the leader is. All warm up games are designed to get people speaking, moving and ready for the main event.
Once the facilitators briefed the whole group on how to navigate the virtual race interface, they were split randomly into three teams and had just under two hours to get through six locations and live challenges. All teams successfully completed the Virtual Amazing Race within the given time.
