Objectives
The objectives for this program were to break the ice between delegates and have an enjoyable cooking experience in an informal environment. The aim was for people to get to know each other better and to build bonds as they would be working together on various training projects in the groups during their stay in Bangkok. The team building was the first phase which would also include a final case study for which participants would be in the same groupings.
Event Program
Teams were briefed that they are going on a morning scavenger hunt, where they need to unravel cryptic clues to pinpoint locations on a map. Once they had unraveled their clues they needed to plan their route and decide how to travel to and from each location.
There were a total of 5Â clue locations and they had to visit as many as they could within the time frame. At each location, they had a question to answer, a task to complete and at some locations a team building activity. For every challenge they complete they receive an ingredient card for which they need to buy at the final morning location at Klong Toei fresh market prior to lunch .The ingredients they bought were used to make a mystery starter in the afternoon.
In the afternoon teams were taken to Osha Cafe to take part in a Thai cooking competition. The head chef and Iron Chef champion demonstrated how to make 5 popular dishes. Teams then had to cook and recreate the dishes and present them for judging.
