Lost: Escape the Island outdoor team building activity
Unravel the island’s mysterious origins, discover the deadly secret, and escape before it’s too late!
Teams compete in a Lost TV show inspired escape outdoor team building challenge. In teams, you and your teammates will have to work against the clock in a series of plot-based challenges such as finding codes, answering riddles, solving map mysteries, interacting with character actors, and completing physical based tasks, to name just a few.
Customize your program to include specific geographic, natural man made features of the island the activity takes place on e.g. rivers, beaches, jungle, waterfalls, cliffs, wildlife, and temples.

Teams will be dropped off on an island and given a briefing to fill them in on the Lost-based escape the island team building activity. Challenges could include deciphering codes, solving map mysteries, unlocking boxes, answering riddles from characters based on the show, and culminating in an epic make-or-break challenge to finally solve the mystery of the island and escape before the mystery, or the island, consumes them.
To assist them, teams will be accompanied by a Making Teams facilitator to help explain the challenges and watch over their safety. If teams are unable to complete a task, or require additional help beyond basic tips or hints, time penalties will be incurred.
A time limit will be set and participants will be under pressure to be creative and work together in this one of a kind problem solving activity, ultimate teamwork is required to solve the mystery of the island and escape before it’s too late!
This team building activity takes place on a tropical island or in a national park, consult the team building destination guides for a better idea of which islands or national parks are used.
The winning team is the team that solves the mystery of the island and escapes the island with the fastest time.
A Making Teams facilitator will be on hand to watch over safety and gives instructions to further look after your delegates well being.
Once on the island, teams will be briefed on the plot of the island mystery they find themselves in. Upon completing the team building activity, teams will discuss what they though they did well at, could improve upon, and be given feedback from the Making Teams facilitators.
The ideal minimum length for this activity is two hours upon arrival on the island or at the national park. This program can be adapted to a half day of even full day event.
